According to the changelog for the update, Apple notes, “iOS 12.3.2 resolves an issue that could cause Camera to capture Portrait mode photos without depth effect on some iPhone 8 Plus devices.” As the company notes, the problems seem to mostly affect the iPhone 8 Plus, so if you’re not using that particular model, you should be good to go.
We’re not sure how widespread the problem was as we haven’t really come across reports of the issue at hand, but either way it’s good to know that the butg has since been squashed. The update is already in the process of being rolled out to users so if you haven’t updated your iPhone 8 Plus just yet, now might be a good time to do so. As usual with updates, make sure that you’re plugged into a power source and connected to WiFi if you’d rather not blow through your data cap or have your handset shut down suddenly.
