HBO’s satire show about the tech industry, aptly titled Silicon Valley, will end after the forthcoming sixth season. HBO has confirmed that the sixth season which is set to premiere later this year is also going to be the last for this series. Silicon Valley first aired back in April 2014 and many of the shows fans will be interested in seeing how it wraps up things in the final season.
Silicon Valley follows the story of Pied Piper, a tech startup as it struggles to find its footing in the highly competitive industry. The show has also provided some sharp commentary on the actual Silicon Valley throughout the years as well as keeping the story relevant by bringing in emerging tech trends.
The show did get nominated for multiple Emmys throughout its run and did manage to win two of them. Variety reports that HBO is going to end Silicon Valley with its upcoming sixth season. It’s also going to be an abbreviated season in that it will only have seven episodes. This will make it the shortest season of the entire series.
“We’ll miss it desperately, but we’ve always let Pied Piper’s journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion,” said Alec Berg, the co-showrunner and executive producer.”
