Google seems to have grown tired of the leaks concerning its Pixel 4 flagship smartphone so it tweeted out a render of the device from its official account yesterday. While it didn’t say anything about the launch, there was some speculation that perhaps it might happen earlier than the usual October timeframe. A leaked Verizon marketing calendar suggests that this won’t be the case.
Notable tech leakster @evleaks has posted an image of a marketing calendar for Verizon on Twitter which clearly mentions that the Google Pixel 4 launch is slated for October. That’s when Google traditionally unveils new smartphones so it’s going to be business as usual on this front.
Some had speculated that perhaps Google had given a glimpse of the Pixel 4 because it was going to launch the new flagship earlier this year, possibly even before the new iPhone arrives in September. Google itself hasn’t said anything about when it’s going to launch the Pixel 4.
This means that there’s going to be quite a bit of wait for those who have been waiting for Google’s next-generation flagship. That’s despite the fact that the company doesn’t seem to have any qualms about giving us a glimpse of it long before it’s actually made official.
