Destiny 2 Gets Cross-Save Support For PS4, Xbox One, PC, And Stadia

As part of its new Shadowkeep year three update, Bungie is bringing cross-progression to Destiny 2. Players will be able to benefit from cross-save support for the title on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google’s Stadia game streaming service. The announcement comes mere months after Bungie announced its split with publishing partner Activision.

This move will enable Destiny 2 players to share their characters across multiple gaming platforms which include Google’s new Stadia service, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is certainly going to make life easier for Destiny 2 players who previously had to create separate characters and make do with progress that was tied to each individual gaming platform. This will let them carry their characters and progression across platforms.

It’s pertinent to mention here that while this will be possible on the PlayStation 4, transfers from PS4 to Stadia are still pending approval from Sony. “We’re still working with PlayStation to figure out the transition,” says Andrey Doronichev.

It’s not known at this point in time if Sony isn’t actively allowing cross-save progress or if there are some technical issues that need to be ironed out. A Bungie spokesperson later followed up with a statement in which the studio confirms that “Bungie and Sony are working with Sony to ensure cross-save comes to PS4 when Shadowkeep launches,”.
