According to the email, AT&T has told customers that since Samsung has delayed the phone and that there is no new release date in sight, the carrier has decided to cancel pre-orders. They also note that any charges held on your card will be released, and if they were charged, they will be able to get a refund for it.
However, this does not mean that the carrier will no longer be offering the phone. AT&T says in the email that once a new release date has been set, they will start to take pre-orders again. Unfortunately, there is no mention on when that will be, so as far as we’re concerned, we’ll just have to remain patient until a new release date is available.
AT&T is not alone in cancelling pre-orders of the phone. Previously, Best Buy had also announced that they would be cancelling pre-orders on their end, but have also noted that they will start taking orders again once a new release date is available.
