In an announcement posted onto its website, Blizzard has confirmed that WoW Classic will be going live worldwide on the 27th of August, 2019. We should note that the date is for the US, which means for those living in other parts of the world, the time will be different, which you can check on Blizzard’s website.
If you’re wondering if WoW Classic is for you, or if you can’t wait until August, Blizzard has also announced that they will be running a closed beta to stress test the servers. “Beginning May 15, select WoW players will be invited to participate in a small-scale, focused closed beta test. Players will also get a chance to help put our servers and technology through their paces in a series of stress tests running from May through July.”
Gamers who are interested in taking part in this closed beta can choose to opt-in via their Account Management page, but there’s no guarantee that they will be selected.
