Given that E3 2019 is taking place in June, it does seem like as good a time as any to make the announcement. It could probably take place earlier, but either way we should have the details by the end of next month. Infinity Ward is also expected to return to developing this year’s title, with last year’s Black Ops 4 being developed by Treyarch.
With Infinity Ward being behind Call of Duty titles such as Modern Warfare, Ghosts, and Infinite Warfare, perhaps this year’s title could be a sequel to any of those titles mentioned above, but we’ll have to wait and see. It will also be interesting to see if this year’s Call of Duty could find a home on the Nintendo Switch.
So far we have seen releases in the past for the Wii and Wii U, and with the popularity of the Switch console, perhaps Infinity Ward could have something for Nintendo gamers as well.
