Moto Z4 Announced With 5G Moto Mod Support

It was reported that Motorola would be coming out with a new smartphone soon and that’s precisely what the company has done today. It has announced the Moto Z4 which is more of a mid-range smartphone than a full-fledged flagship. It does, however, have Moto Mod support which means that it will be possible to attach a 5G mod to the device.

The Moto Z4 is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with microSD support. The handset features a 6.4 inch 1080p OLED display with a 48 megapixel rear and 25 megapixel front camera in addition to a 3,600mAh battery.

The display is almost edge-to-edge so the bezels are minimal while there’s also an optical fingerprint sensor under the display itself. It runs Android 9 Pie and does indeed feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.

All of the Moto Mods that were released since the original Moto Z hit the market will work with this device. It have support for the 5G Moto Mod which Verizon is going to sell for $200. The handset itself will cost $10 per month over 24 months on Verizon for a limited time on new activations.

There’s going to be an unlocked version available through retailers like Amazon and Best Buy for $499 which is a bundle that includes the 360 degree camera as well. The Moto Z4 goes on sale June 13th on Verizon while it’s available for pre-order starting today.
