Early Build Of Microsoft Edge For macOS Has Been Leaked

Yesterday, we reported that Microsoft had confirmed that they will be eventually releasing their Edge browser for macOS. Given that the browser is available on mobile devices, we suppose coming to macOS seemed like the next logical step. Unfortunately, Microsoft did not mention when it would be available.

However, it seems that an early build of browser has since been leaked where if you are so inclined, you can actually take it for a spin. However, as we said, these are early builds of the browser which means that it is probably not where Microsoft wants it to be yet, and probably not where it is where it can be used as a daily driver, but if you are curious, you could check it out.

While some might roll their eyes at Edge coming to macOS, we should point out that this will be the new version of Edge built in Google’s Chromium platform. This means that you won’t need to worry about browser incompatibility when surfing the web, especially if you’re coming from other Chromium browsers such as Chrome.

That being said, we still don’t know when Edge for macOS will be available, but hopefully these early builds are an indication that things are progressing nicely. In the meantime, those who are interested can find the Canary build here or the developer build here.
