Ring isn’t the only company that Amazon owns which sells security cameras. It also acquired Blink in 2017 and the company today unveiled its new Blink XT2 camera. There are several new features in addition to the promise of a two year battery life on a single set of batteries.
The Blink XT2 can be used for both indoor and outdoor security cam requirements and the user won’t have to run any cables to it since it runs on a couple of AA batteries. It’s claimed that the camera can last for up to two years on one pair of batteries. It’s the same as the previous version but offers double the seconds of use compared to the original XT when it’s used for Live View and motion-activated recording exclusively.
The 1080p HD video security camera also supports two-way talk for just $89.99. Amazon stores all of the recorded events in the user’s cloud account for free. There’s also enhanced motion detection and a live view recording feature to tap into the camera for a live stream whenever you want.
“Starting at $89.99, the all-new Blink XT2 provides an affordable and high-performing option for customers seeking whole-home security and peace of mind,” said Peter Besen, GM of Blink. The new Blink XT2 is available for pre-order starting today.
