In addition to launching these new iPhones, DigiTimes’ sources are also claiming that they will be sporting brand new display sizes. The report claims that the smallest model could sport a 5.42-inch display, followed by a 6.06-inch display, and a 6.67-inch display being the largest. This is a bit different from what Apple is currently offering to its users.
At the moment the iPhone XR features a display size of 6.1-inch, while the iPhone XS and XS Max have display sizes of 5.8-inch and 6.5-inches respectively. This means that at least two models will sport smaller displays, while one will have a larger one. We’re not sure how Apple plans on justifying the new display sizes, but it is possible that one could continue to remain as Apple’s “budget” iPhone like the iPhone XR.
There is a chance that these new display sizes also means that we can expect to see a new design, but exactly what kind of changes is unclear. In the meantime, recent rumors have claimed that this year’s iPhones will support two-way wireless charging, a triple camera array, and potentially larger batteries.
