As someone who really liked The Last of Us, I can understand how highly anticipated its sequel is among fans of the original title. The teasers that have been shown so far suggest that the sequel may be just as interesting, if not more, than the first game. Neil Druckmann, the game director for The Last of Us Part 2, has confirmed that the final scene for this title has now been shot.
Neil Druckmann has confirmed today that Naughty Dog has officially shot the ending for The Last of Us Part 2. While that may sound like it won’t be long now before the game is out, that’s not quite how it works. It certainly doesn’t mean that motion capture production for the title has been completed since both the game and film sets are often shot our of order.
Nevertheless, this is certainly a milestone in the production of this much-awaited title. It’s too soon to say at this point in time when Naughty Dog is planning on releasing this title. The Last of Us Part 2, whenever it arrives, will be an exclusive for the PlayStation 4.
The title was actually announced with a rather lengthy trailer back in 2016. Subsequent reports had suggested that it may be released in 2018 but that obviously didn’t happen. Some are now hoping that we’ll see this game come out in 2019.
