There are quite a few easter eggs in Marvel’s Spider-Man that players can discover. They include a Stan Lee cameo as the owner of Mick’s restaurant and the Avengers tower. However, there has been one easter egg that has gone by unnoticed and it has now been revealed by an Insomniac Games engineer.
You may not have noticed this easter egg when playing the game, particularly on a Sunday as it forces on pedestrians who walk around the streets of New York in the game. It’s the Orthodox Jews in particular that players will run into as they make their way around the game.
Orthodox Jews don’t work or go outside on Saturday due to the Sabbath and this has been recreated in the game. If you go out in the game with Peter Parker and try to find these NPCs, you won’t be able to because they don’t venture out even in the game on Saturday.
This rather detailed easter egg has always been present in the game but it flew under the radar until pointed out by senior engine programmer at Insomniac games, Elan Ruskin on Twitter. For those who haven’t played the game yet, Marvel’s Spider-Man is available as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
This feels like the right time to mention an Easter egg that everyone's passed over so far: these guys don't work on Saturdays! pic.twitter.com/kJydFBG4DG
