However, Samsung might have addressed the issue with that with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A80. This is the latest smartphone in Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A lineup, but despite it being a mid-ranged handset, it does pack some pretty interesting and unique tech. This includes an automated slideup system where upon the phone sliding up, the rear-facing camera will flip around towards the front where it pulls double duty as a front-facing camera as well.
It is a very unique if not somewhat novel feature, but this also means that users won’t need to contend with a potentially lower-quality front-facing camera. The camera system on the Galaxy A80 includes a 48MP main camera with an f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP ultra wide camera, and a 3D depth-sensing camera.
Other specs include a 6.7-inch FHD+ display, an octa-core chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. As we said, the Galaxy A series typically consists of mid-range handsets, but if you’d rather not spend too much money on a flagship, it feels like Samsung is giving customers a lot of reasons to check out the Galaxy A80. No word on pricing at the moment, but the phone is expected to be launched on the 29th of May.
