You Can Now Reserve Your Name In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite

As some of you might have heard, the folks at Niantic are developing a new game in the form of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. From what we can tell, it is expected to be similar in concept to Pokemon GO, except that it will be based on the Harry Potter franchise. The game is expected to be released in the near future, and the good news is that you can now go ahead and reserve your name.

If you’re a Pokemon GO player who would rather keep using the same name they used while playing Pokemon GO, it seems that Niantic is now allowing players to reserve the name of their choice. All you need to do is head on over to Niantic’s website and login with your Ingress or Pokemon GO account and enter the name you want to reserve.

Note that this is on a first-come-first-serve basis which means that if you don’t move quickly, someone else could potentially take your name. We should also point out that this isn’t the creation of a new account but just the reservation of the name. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite still does not have a release date yet, but hopefully the ability to start reserving names is a sign that the game could be coming close to a release.
