Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 Launched On AT&T

These days a lot of our smartphones have been designed to look good, and we suppose that’s a fair thing to do. However there are some users out there who need a phone that can withstand the elements, and while our smartphones do come with water-resistance, their design does leave them a bit too fragile for use in more rugged terrain.

This is where companies such as Kyocera come in where they have in the past launched rugged handsets. The company is back with its latest smartphone in the form of the DuraForce Pro 2 which has been launched on AT&T. As the name suggests, this is a smartphone designed to be durable where it will come with key features such as IP68 certification, and a Military Standard 810G rating for protecting against shocks, vibration, and extreme temperatures.

The phone is also expected to feature a Dragontrail Pro display that makes it scratch and crack-resistant. Like we said, the handset has clearly been designed for users who might need such protection, and as such is also FirstNet Ready, where it will work on the public safety broadband communications platform.

Other specs include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor, and a dual camera setup on the game. It is available for purchase from AT&T where it is priced at $15 a month over the next 30 months, or $170 for a two-year agreement, or $445 if you’d rather buy it outright.
