Instagram is one of the most widely used social networks out there. Many of its users live their lives on the network, uploading pictures of their breakfast to their workouts and everything in between. JetBlue’s latest promotion involves having users break their Instagram habit. The contest provides three lucky winners the chance to fly free for a year provided they wipe their Instagram account.
The rules of this promotion mention that you have to completely wipe your Instagram account and then post a picture which promotes the airline. The picture is to be uploaded using a hashtag based on the airline’s template on a completely blank Instagram account.
The profile must be public so that the airline’s marketing department can see it. The entries have to be posted before March 8th, 2019. The airline doesn’t say why it’s making contestants wipe their Instagram but does mention that they can archive their posts instead of deleting them outright. There’s no bar on posting Stories so users can continue to use that feature.
It wouldn’t be a promotion if there was no caveat. Only three winners will be chosen from the entries received for this contest. Those who win will be required to pay the individual taxes and fees on each “free” flight that they take with JetBlue.
