In the past we have come across incredible stories of how our gadgets have managed to save lives by stopping things like bullets and shrapnel. Adding to those stories is a report out of Australia in which it seems that a man from New South Wales had his life saved by his iPhone when it stopped an arrow that was shot at him.
According to the report from News.com.au, a man was ambushed by another man in his driveway in the morning. The victim took out his iPhone to record the assailant who then aimed a bow and arrow at him and shot. As you can see from the photo above, the arrow nearly went through the iPhone but was ultimately stopped.
The victim was not seriously injured and only suffered a slight laceration and did not require medical treatment. It was also speculated that the laceration was not from the arrow, but rather the force from the arrow which caused the phone to hit the victim in the chin.
The attacker was then arrested at the scene by officers who responded to the incident. He was also charged with armed and intent to commit an indictable offense, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and malicious damage.
