According to HTC China’s President Alvin Wang Graylin, “With the unveiling of these enhanced features for Vive Focus Plus, the VR industry is moving forward with this new generation of standalone full-fidelity VR devices. We’re thrilled to be able to feature numerous experiences and use cases at VEC, which showcase the incredible opportunity for Vive Focus Plus and the entire VR category.”
For those who are unfamiliar, the HTC Vive Focus Plus is the enterprise version of the Vive Focus. While VR headsets are typically aimed at gamers, HTC has decided to make the Vive Focus Plus focus on the enterprise user. There will be a pair of six-degrees-of-freedom controllers which will allow it to be more precise when using it for instances like medical simulations.
The Vive Focus Plus will also include an enterprise license that will give users access to about 250 Vive Waze applications. There is also a multi-mode feature that lets you turn the Focus into a VR hub from multiple content sources across the PC, smartphones, consoles, and more.
