Those who use the Mail app in Windows 10 today might want to grab the latest update for this app. Microsoft is rolling out a more comprehensive dark mode for the Mail app which includes the dark hue for the email portion of the app. It’s a change from the previous behavior where the app would show a white background in emails instead of a black one. This would allow for an improved user experience.

Since some email content could possibly be obscured when the full dark mode is enabled, Microsoft has added a toggle in the app so that users can easily switch between the dark and light backgrounds in the body of emails.

The toggle and this dark mode itself is similar to the one available in Outlook.com. Microsoft added it to the service in July last year and it’s now matching it in the Mail app for Windows 10. There’s already a full dark mode for the calendar portion for the Mail app while the Calendar app for Windows 10 also has a full dark mode as well.

Microsoft is now rolling out the latest update for the Mail app in Windows 10. Interested users can download it from the Microsoft Store.
