If you’re looking to get your kids off the couch and get them to work out more, perhaps a fitness tracker could help with that. Last year Fitbit launched the Fitbit Ace which was an activity tracker designed for kids, and now it looks like come 2019, the company will be following up with a new model in the form of the Fitbit Ace 2.
As you can see in the image above, the design of the Fitbit Ace 2 has been designed to look more fun and colorful compared to Fitbit’s other offerings. The Ace 2 will also be bigger than its predecessor, although apparently this was designed so that the device could be water-resistant up to a depth of 50m. This is versus its predecessor which was only sweat and splash proof, meaning that your kids should be able to use the Ace 2 for swimming without any issue.
There will also be a built-in bumper around the display that is designed to protect the screen to prevent it from scratches and bumps. Fitbit has also included a new animated design for its watch faces which they claim will help motivate kids to hit their activity goals. The best part is that at $100, it is more affordable than its predecessor and hopefully it will make it easier for parents to get on board with it.
