Disney will be launching Disney+ later this year where the streaming platform is expected to play home to Marvel shows. DC has since responded in kind with DC Universe, its own streaming service which will stream DC related content. The good news is that if you’re considering subscribing to it, you can now try before you buy.
According to a tweet by DC Universe, they have launched a new initiative in which they will be making the first episodes of some of its shows – Titans, Doom Patrol, and Young Justice: Outsiders – free to stream. It is a limited offer that starts from the 15th of March and runs until the 29th of March.
Trial subscriptions aren’t new but the upside to DC Universe’s offering is that users won’t need to sign up or provide any payment details. Instead they’ll be able to watch the first episodes for free straightaway without any catch. This lowers the barrier of entry where some users might be hesitant to sign up and provide their particulars.
That being said, DC Universe is currently priced at $8 a month which makes it a lot cheaper than other services out there, although at the moment it does feel like it is a bit more limited than the competition.
#DCUniverse is the exclusive home of the best new DC Originals with full episodes of @DCUTitans, #DCUYoungJustice, and @DoomPatrolDCU. Now is your chance to watch the first episodes for free on DC Universe. https://t.co/EE5h8DVnGT pic.twitter.com/E7xp5ep3JR
