Verizon To Sell LG V50 ThinQ 5G This Summer
Many smartphone manufacturers are out in full force at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona with their 5G smartphones and LG is one of them. The LG V50 ThinQ 5G is the Korean conglomerate’s first smartphone to be compatible with the next-generation network. It will be exclusive to Sprint initially but Verizon has also confirmed that it will eventually begin selling the device.
Sprint confirmed today that its 5G network will go live in four cities starting this May with additional markets getting the network in the first half of this year. The LG V50 ThinQ 5G is going to be the first compatible device on this network. Sprint will also sell the Galaxy S10 5G after its exclusivity with Verizon is up.
Since Verizon nabbed a timed exclusive from Samsung, Sprint went ahead and did that with LG. The aforementioned device is going to be available first from Sprint only. However, Verizon has now said that it will also sell the LG V50 ThinQ 5G “this summer.”
Verizon hasn’t confirmed the pricing information for the device as yet which makes sense as we still have a ways to go before this device will be available for purchase. At least those who were worried that they might have to switch from Big Red to Sprint for this device can rest assured that their preferred carrier will be selling the LG V50 ThinQ 5G as well.
