There have been rumors recently that Respawn, known for creating the popular Titanfall franchise, will be launching a battle royale title of its own. Given the immense popularity of this genre thanks to games like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, it’s no surprise that Respawn is jumping on this bandwagon as well. The title is reportedly called Apex Legends and may be announced as well as released later today.
Respawn CEO Vince Zampella confirmed through a tweet that a live stream is going to take place today. It’s now expected that the game is going to be unveiled during this live stream which begins at 8 AM PT for the “teaser,” and at 12 PM PT for the full reveal.
“Looks like everything is unlocked now? Fun. So, if you like Respawn, our games or even me, you should tune in tomorrow. Our stream starts at 8 AM PT and we’ll tell you everything about Apex Legends. Everything,” he tweeted.
There aren’t a lot of details available about this title right now. According to reports, it’s going to follow the tried and tested battle royale formula. The game is likely going to be free-to-play with up to 60 players divided into teams of three players. It will be a fight to see who survives till the very end.
