According to Lyft, this will be their most affordable ride option yet, but in order to help keep costs down, it might not be as convenient compared to regular rides. How so, you ask? According to Lyft, Shared Saver rides will basically see the driver drive to a spot that will be the most convenient for you and your co-riders.
This means that instead of being picked up directly at your location, you might have to walk a block or two to your driver, but the upside is that you could save yourself some money in the process. Lyft and Uber already have shared ride options which helps to make rides cheaper if you don’t mind sharing a car with strangers, but Shared Saver should be even cheaper.
Lyft also claims that Shared Saver will not be subject to surge pricing, so you don’t have to worry about peak hours an all that jazz.
