Google I/O Registration Now Open, Will Cost $1,150 For A Ticket

Google I/O 2019 will be kicking off in the next few months and we expect that Google will more than a few announcements, such as a new version of Android, updates to Chrome OS, new products and services, and so on. It is definitely an event to look out for, but in case streaming the event live from the comfort of your own home isn’t good enough, how about purchasing a ticket?

Google has opened up the registrations for I/O 2019 where if you want to attend, you’ll need to pay $1,150 for a ticket. However we should point out that by registering it’s not a guarantee that you will be able to attend. Instead the registration is merely for you to put your name into a lucky draw of sorts, where users will be randomly selected.

While it might sound rather annoying, especially to those who really want to attend and don’t really enjoy this game of chance, it is understandable why Google is going about doing this. Ticket scalping has been an issue for all sorts of events, plus there are some users who might not have the time or the internet speeds to spam Google’s website to purchase a ticket, which means that this lucky draw makes it more fair for users.
