We’ve long complained about the mostly dismal life of our smartphone batteries, but it seems that Energizer has a smartphone with a battery that could potentially last you days on end. The only catch is that you will need to withstand stares and possible laughter because as you can see, this phone is thick.
The company recently took the wraps off one of their smartphones at MWC 2019, where UK website Expert Reviews (via MacRumors) managed to get their hands on one of them, which in the photo above is the aptly name Energizer Power Max P18K Pop which packs a massive 18,000mAh battery.
Yup, at 18,000mAh, we imagine that for the most part this phone should definitely get you through the day and then some, and then some more. However it is also massive and we’re not sure given how we’ve seen lithium-ion batteries explode that you will want to keep this in your pocket. The upside is that it also doubles as a powerbank which means that you can use some of its battery to charge other devices.
Aside from the monstrous battery, the handset will also be featuring a 6.2-inch 18:9 display, a 12MP+5MP+2MP rear camera setup, a 16MP+2MP front-facing camera setup, a MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage with support for SD card expansion. It will be launched in June later this year where it will be priced at €600.
