Verizon Has $1 Million In Seed Money For The Best 5G Ideas

5G can be easily viewed as the next-generation in mobile connectivity, and it can also just as easily be simply thought of as just “faster internet”, but could there be more to 5G than we think? We know that Disney and Verizon are working together to figure out what 5G could be used for, and it looks like Verizon wants your help.

The company has announced that they have $1 million in seed money that they are looking to give to those who can come up with the best ideas on how to use 5G. According to Verizon, “Calling all innovators. Enter the Built on 5G Challenge, a nationwide search for the biggest and brightest ideas that will bring the true power of 5G to life. Winners will be awarded up to a total of $1 million, gain access to our 5G Labs and more.”

It will be interesting to see what else 5G could be used for and how it might improve existing services and operations. In fact it wasn’t too long ago that we reported on how there are some companies who are starting to make the switch to 5G over WiFi due to the fact that it can at times offer better coverage compared to WiFi.

For those who are interested in taking part in this challenge and want to learn more about it, head on over to Verizon’s website for the details.
