#CES2019 – If one of your concerns about putting together a smartphone is potentially having to rewire and reinstall everything, Ring could help put your mind at ease with its latest Door View Cam smart doorbell. This is because the Door View Cam’s installation is pretty easy and does not require any wires.
In fact it might not even require any drilling because all users have to do to install it is to remove the current peephole on your door on either side and you should be good to go. The Door View Cam is powered by a rechargeable battery which means no wires, although the downside is that you will need to charge it from time to time
The device will be capable of recording and streaming 1080p video to the Ring app on your smartphone, but if you want to store the footage then you will need to be subscribed to the company’s video recording plan amongst other more premium features. Other than that, there will also be a new impact sensor that can detect when someone is knocking on the door and will notify you, which will come in handy if the music is too loud or if you’re wearing headphones.
If this sounds like a product you wouldn’t mind equipping your home with, then the Ring Door View Cam will be going on sale later this year where it is priced at $200.
