Neutrogena MaskiD Will 3D Print Personalized Face Masks

The Neutrogena Skin360 was introduced at CES last year. It scans the users’ faces to determine the condition and moisture levels of their skin. At CES 2019, the company is going to show off a new kind of service that allows 3D printing custom, personalized face masks for users. Neutrogena is calling it MaskiD.

What this means is that the mask will align exactly with each user’s individual face shape and structure. The app will also allow them to formulate the mask with the ingredients picked by them.

The process involves first taking a selfie through the MaskiD app and then choosing the type of treatment required from each area of the mask. The facial zones that can be customized include nose, cheeks, eye area, forehead, nasolabial folds, and the chin. The app will show them what the final, custom-fit mask is going to look like once they have played with all of the different personalization options for the mask.

Once users are pleased with the mask that’s created for them in the app, they can send the order and their personalized mask will be shipped to them. Neutrogena hasn’t said what the prices are going to look like but the company does say that it will be in line with its drugstore price range.
