Microsoft Integrates OneDrive Storage With Skype

With there being so many different cloud storage services to choose from, like Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, and OneDrive, how do you know which you should use? Microsoft is hoping that Skype users will pick OneDrive because the company has announced that they are integrating OneDrive storage with Skype.

What this means is that if you use Skype and want to send files to others, the integration with OneDrive means quick and easy access directly from the app itself. Users will be able to quickly access files stored on their OneDrive accounts and send it to their contacts on Skype easily. Presumably this will encourage users to either start using OneDrive or to start using Skype, or even maybe both.

According to Microsoft, “Available in all markets, languages, and platforms except Mac and Linux, the latest version of Skype now also supports OneDrive—enabling you to quickly browse, search, and share files from your personal OneDrive storage into Skype chats. With this integration, sharing Office documents, PDFs, or any of the 300+ file types that OneDrive supports is as easy as a couple of clicks.”

The integration should already be live so just make sure you have the latest version of Skype on your mobile device and you should be good to go.
