KOHLER Announces New Smart Products For The Bathroom

#CES2019 – These days we’re starting to see more smart products being announced for the home. Smart lighting, smart door locks, smart doorbells, smart security cameras, smart speakers, smart thermostats, well, you get the idea. If those sounds like things you wouldn’t mind adding to your home, KOHLER has you covered.

Last year the company introduced a bunch of smart home products, and at CES 2019 this year, they are back with new and updated products. One of those new products include the Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror which we saw at CES last year. For the most part the features of the mirror remain the same where users can interact with the mirror via a digital assistant. One of the main changes is that with the 2019 model, they will be introducing Google Assistant to it, whereas the previous version only came with Alexa.

Next up there is the Veil Lighted Collection which includes various smart bathroom products, such as an intelligent toilet system, a freestanding bath, a lighted mirror, and a lighted three-piece vanity. All these products come with integrated lighting which can sync together to create various moods, and will also come with an accompanying smartphone app that lets users control it. There is also integration with both Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant digital assistants.

Last but not least there is the Numi Smart Toilet. The Numi Smart Toilet isn’t new, but with version 2.0, KOHLER has integrated it with a digital assistant in the form of Amazon’s Alexa. Just like what you might expect from such a toilet, there will be features like cleaning and drying functions and heated seats. There will also be built-in speakers in case you want to listen to music, and will also come with light integration.

As for pricing and availability, the Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror will be priced starting at $1,249 for the 24-inch model and will be available in Q4 2019. The Veil Lighted Collection will be priced at $899 for the mirror; $4,849 for the freestanding bath; $2,999 for the vanity, top, and sink; $4,230 for the intelligent toilet, and will be available Q2 2019. The Numi 2.0 will be priced at $7,000 for the white model, $8,000 for the black model, and will launch in Q4 2019.
