According to a report from The Verge, Bang & Olufsen have updated the Beoplay E8 where they have given it a wireless charging case. It has long been said that Apple could launch a similar device for its AirPods, but like we said, Bang & Olufsen seems to have beaten them to the punch.
We’re not sure if the headphones themselves have been upgraded in any way, but the new case will support wireless charging and also features a USB-C port if you’d rather charge it via a wired connection. It also features upgraded battery life where it can now recharge the headphones three times to give it 16 hours of battery life versus the previous gen model which offered 12 hours.
Unfortunately these perks do come at a slight premium at $350, making it $50 more expensive than its predecessor. For those who already own the Beoplay E8, you can purchase the wireless charging case separately for $200.
