Amazon launched a barrage of Alexa-enabled devices a couple of months ago and the Echo Wall Clock was one of them. It has been just over a month since the company started shipping this product and it has now had to pull it from the proverbial shelves. The decision has been made due to connectivity issues with the device.
An Amazon spokesperson has confirmed the decision to pull the Echo Wall Slock. “We’re aware that a small number of customers have had issues with connectivity. We’re working hard to address this and plan to make Echo Wall Clock available again in the coming weeks,” said the statement.
What this suggests is that Amazon is looking for a fix to the reported connectivity issues. It’s not doing away with the product altogether and certainly plans to bring it back for sale once the issues have been addressed.
The listing page on Amazon remains online but it mentions that the product itself is “currently unavailable.” What not known at this point in time is how long it might take for this product to become available again. Customers who already purchased the Echo Wall Clock might be able to get their money back in the meantime if they return it to Amazon.
