A report out of China on Weibo by the handle “iCTech” (via AppleInsider) claims to have some details about Apple’s new iPhones for this year. The report claims that the new iPhones will sport 4,000mAh batteries, which is a huge improvement over the current battery where the iPhone XS Max has a 3,175mAh battery.
It also claims that the new iPhones could feature a 3x telephoto lens, and that it could also support faster wireless charging at 15W. It also makes a dubious claim about the new phones featuring a 90Hz to 120Hz screen refresh rate. While the iPad Pros have a 120Hz display, it sounds almost too good to be true if those displays were to arrive on the iPhones without a significant increase in costs.
As AppleInsider notes, iCTech has a pretty spotty reputation where they have gotten their “leaks” wrong in the pat, although some of them have proven correct. In any case it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt for now.
