If you’re a fan of Ubisoft’s Far Cry franchise, then you will be pleased to learn that the company will be officially announcing the next Far Cry game at the Game Awards 2018. This announcement was prefaced with the release of a teaser trailer that showed a huge mushroom cloud in the distance, followed by talks of a new world.
At this point in time it’s anyone’s guess as to what this game will be about, save for the fact that it will be a new Far Cry game. It is actually surprising that Ubisoft is teasing a new Far Cry game this early. The last time we saw a Far Cry game was earlier this year with Far Cry 5, where it was announced last year but released in March 2018.
It does seem like the company is moving quickly with this particular franchise and from what we can tell in the trailer, it looks like it will be a brand new game. However some have pointed out that the scenes look familiar, like they were from the previous Far Cry game, just that it will now have a post-apocalyptic setting.
Either way we should find out soon enough as the Game Awards will be kicking off on the 6th of December at 5:30PM PST, and 8:30PM EST, so check back with us later in the day to find out what Ubisoft has in store for us.
