These two new routers will feature support for what is now known and referred to as WiFi 6 (also known as 802.11ax). The routers are the Archer AX6000 and the Archer AX11000. The former has been described as an idea router for the smart home where it supports AX WiFi speeds up to 1,148 Mbps on 2.4GHz, and 4,804Mbps on the 5.0GHz band.
However if those speeds aren’t enough, TP-Link’s Archer AX11000 router has been designed for gamers in mind who need to have the lowest possible ping, where TP-Link boasts data transmission speeds of up to 10,756 Mbps. However we should note that your speeds are also largely determined by the internet package that you sign up for. If you’re subscribed to a very basic internet package, then it doesn’t matter how powerful your routers are.
In terms of pricing, the AX6000 will be priced at $350 and will be available for pre-order starting today. The AX11000 will be launched later in January 2019 where it is priced at $450.
