Music streaming services are useful because they let you listen to music whenever you want while on the go, and also being able to search and add songs to your library without having to deal with cables and all that jazz. However streaming services aren’t 100% perfect as its catalogue does depend on the deals that they’ve made with various publishers and labels.
This means that sometimes you will come across situations where you can’t find the song or artist that you want. However the good news is that according to researcher Jane Manchun Wong, she has discovered that Spotify for Android could soon be getting an import feature. This feature would allow users to directly import music from their Android device, so if you have some songs stored on it, you can import them to Spotify which should save you time from having to switch between music apps.

It is unclear how this will work and if it will be similar to Apple’s iTunes Match, where users can upload songs that might not be otherwise found on Apple Music, and allow it to be streamed across multiple devices that share the same Apple Music account. However even if it doesn’t, like we said, it will save users from having to switch between multiple music apps if you’re trying to listen to your tunes. No word on when this feature might be released but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
