If you’ve enjoyed Samsung’s various attempts at creating wearables like smartwatches, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Samsung could have a new smartwatch in the works. According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung is working on a new smartwatch codenamed “Pulse” with the model number SM-R500.
According to SamMobile, they believe that this device in question could be the success to the Samsung Gear Sport, and could be known as the Galaxy Sport given Samsung’s recent rebranding efforts. However what’s interesting is the model number, where the Gear Sport had the model number SM-R600, so it appears that Samsung could be working backwards.
However as SamMobile points out, it is possible that Samsung opted for this because of the rebranding, kind of like starting from scratch. As for specs and features, the report claims that the Galaxy Sport could feature 4GB of internal storage and run on Tizen, and will also come with Bixby which we suppose should have been a given.
No word on when the device will be officially launched, but CES 2019 is around the corner so that’s a possibility. Alternatively Samsung could announce it alongside the Galaxy S10 which will most likely be announced in the early part of 2019.
