Samsung Updates Its Frame & Serif TVs With QLED Technology

CES is a great place for companies to show off new and exciting technology. If you’re someone who’s really into displays like monitors and TVs, CES is also a great platform where companies usually show off their latest innovations in that space. We’ve seen LG unveil some of their displays ahead of the event, and not surprising Samsung is hot on their heels.

The company has announced that they will be updating its Frame and Serif TV lineups where the new models will be taking advantage of Samsung’s QLED technology, which should result in TVs that are capable of producing deeper blacks and much more saturated colors which should make the contents on its screen “pop” (although there are some who appreciate more neutral/flat tones).

According to Jongsuk Choo, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, “The traditional TV was only focused on technical features, such as picture quality and performance, but now TVs are also a lifestyle platform that blends in consumers’ daily life. This year’s models of The Frame and SERIF TV are enhanced lifestyle TVs that deliver a TV experience like nothing before.”

For those unfamiliar, the Samsung Frame and Serif TVs are designed to blend in with your home, where instead of following the typical TV design, they have been designed in such a way that they could easily pass off as a piece of furniture/art in your living room.
