Apart from revealing the codename of the phone, Blass unfortunately did not reveal anything else. This means that we have no idea what to expect in terms of specs, pricing, features, or design. So far LG has been releasing two flagship phones a year where earlier this year, we were treated to the LG G7, followed up by the LG V40 later in the year.
However according to LG’s announcement at the start of 2018, the company stated that moving forwards they might not necessarily release a new smartphone on an annual basis anymore, which mean that we’re not sure if this “Alpha” handset from LG will be the only flagship for 2019, or if LG could continue their tradition of releasing two smartphones a year.
We should find out soon enough what with CES and MWC pretty much around the corner, although until we get the official announcements, do take these leaks with a grain of salt.
