Earlier this year, Bethesda announced at E3 2018 a new mobile game called The Elder Scrolls: Blades. The game was announced for both iOS and Android devices and was targeted for a release this fall. Unfortunately for gamers who might have been looking forward to the game, it seems that it has since been delayed to 2019.
In a tweet by the official The Elder Scrolls Twitter account, they announced that the game will now release in “early 2019”. No specific dates were mentioned, so it’s really anyone’s guess as to when the game will be available. It is also unclear why the game’s release might have been pushed, but presumably this could be due to the game needing a bit more work which we guess is always welcome since no one likes a buggy release.
In the meantime gamers who want a chance to check out the game ahead of its release can sign up via Bethesda’s website. For those who are learning about this for the first time, Blades is meant to represent The Elder Scrolls experience on mobile, although in a way it also reminds us a lot of the Infinity Blade franchise. Given that it will be a while before we see The Elder Scrolls VI, hopefully this will tide gamers over until then.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades will release in Early 2019 for iOS and Android devices. We are incredibly excited for you to play Blades and you can still sign up for Early Access at https://t.co/uuFPob6YWJ.
