The form is asking users to submit their social media details, including audience size, and if they might have been a former Vine user. They are also asking questions, like what creators might be looking for in Byte, which seems to be a good way for creators to air grievances with existing platforms in hopes that Byte will not follow in those footsteps.
At the moment it is unclear what Byte will be like. While it has been teased as a Vine 2.0, we’re not sure if that is meant to be literal where Byte will attempt to make short-form videos popular again, or if they might be trying to take on YouTube. Many Vine users have since gone on to become pretty big YouTube stars, but whether or not those creators will jump ship to Byte remains to be seen.
The service is expected to be launched in 2019, but in the meantime creators who are interested in checking it out can fill out the form to have Byte get in touch with them.
