When Bethesda announced the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, it was priced at a whopping $200, but given all the goodies it offered, it seemed like it could be worth it for fans. However gamers who bought the bundle were upset to discover that the canvas bag that was supposed to come with the bundle was replaced with a cheap nylon version.
Bethesda later claimed that they were unable to make the canvas bags due to the “unavailability of materials”, which many felt was a bit ridiculous given that canvas isn’t exactly a rare material. The backlash further intensified when it was discovered that Bethesda had given social media influencers a canvas bag to help promote the game. The good news is that it now looks like Bethesda wants to make things right.
The company has announced that they will now be replacing the nylon bags from the Power Armor Edition with canvas bags. The company notes that they are “finalizing the manufacturing plans” for the replacement bags, and are asking that gamers who bought the Power Armor Edition to submit a ticket on its website. There is no word on when these replacement bags are expected to go out, but gamers are required to submit their tickets before the 31st of January, 2019.
