According to a report from the Yonhap News Agency (via Android Police), it has been suggested that the phone could be launched in March 2019. For the most part this seems to corroborate what Samsung Mobile chief DJ Koh said at the event, which was that the phone could launch in the first half of 2019. It also corroborates an earlier report that indicated a Q2 2019 launch.
The handset is also expected to be part of a new lineup of phones dubbed the Galaxy F, and if the estimates are to be believed, it will cost close to $1,800, which once against “confirms” what we had previously heard. While it is pricey, we suppose it’s not that surprising either given that Samsung is said to only be producing about 1 million units.
We imagine that this is because Samsung is simply looking to test the waters, and also because of the new foldable screen technology, it has added to the overall price.
