In a report from Bloomberg, it quotes various experts who have likened the game to a drug. Lorrine Marer, a British behavioral specialist who works with kids who have addiction problems says that it is almost like heroin. “This game is like heroin. Once you are hooked, it’s hard to get unhooked.”
Fortnite’s addictive nature has been cited in cases of conflict. Earlier this year it was reported that over in the UK, there have been a number of divorce cases in which Fortnite was cited as one of the main reasons.
