We’ve seen how Apple’s iPhone Xs Max stacks up against some of the flagship Android phones launched in 2018. However we’re sure that many are curious to see if it will be a complete victory for Apple, or if there could be a flagship launched in 2018 that has the potential to beat the A12 Bionic chipset.
In a new video put out by the folks at PhoneBuff, they have decided to pit the OnePlus 6T against the iPhone Xs Max. As PhoneBuff notes, OnePlus has won against Apple’s iPhone in the past, although the question is whether or not it will continue to beat out Apple’s iPhones or if the A12 Bionic is simply too much of a beast.
For those who don’t have the time to spare, the iPhone Xs Max has managed to beat the OnePlus 6T. The first round which saw both phones launch apps from scratch, the iPhone Xs Max took 1 minute 47.73 seconds, although to OnePlus’ credit, the OnePlus 6T did not take that much longer with 1 minute 56.05 seconds.
However oddly enough despite having double the amount of RAM compared to the iPhone Xs Max, the OnePlus 6T struggled in the second round which involved reopening closed apps. The iPhone Xs Max took 40.95 seconds, while the OnePlus 6T took 50.93 seconds, which once again isn’t too far behind. Of course speed/performance is only one factor when determining how good/bad a phone is, so don’t let this color your judgement if your mind is already pretty set on the OnePlus 6T.
