The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was one of the best-selling and best-reviewed games of 2017 when it was first released. We imagine that Nintendo would love to maintain that momentum, although the question is when can we expect a new Zelda title? The good news is that it looks like Nintendo could already be working on it.
In a couple of job listings spotted by ResetEra user guru-guru (via IGN), it appears that Nintendo is hiring for several positions that are related to The Legend of Zelda series. It seems that they are looking for a 3DCG designer and also a level designer. Details about this Zelda project is scarce at the moment, but it is clear that Nintendo is definitely looking to do something.
That being said, Nintendo has never really been shy about their ambitions and plans for the Zelda franchise, with a report from a couple of months ago revealing that the next Zelda title could still be launched on the Nintendo Switch. This is because the company does intend to support the Switch for longer than a traditional life cycle of a console, so it makes sense that the next title could also be released for the Switch.
Of course there is no telling when such a title could be released, but if you loved Breath of the Wild, here’s hoping that whatever Nintendo has planned next can live up to the expectations.
