Apple and Amazon have inked a deal to bring more of the former’s products to the online retail giant’s marketplace worldwide. Amazon will thus be able to sell more Apple products directly and customers will be able to purchase the latest Apple products from its online marketplace. The lineup will include the new iPad Pro, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and the Apple Watch Series 4. Apple’s lineup of Beats headphones will be officially listed on Amazon as well.
This deal between Amazon and Apple will see these products being listed on the marketplace in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Spain, and India.
These products will be listed on Amazon sites in these regions within the next few weeks. This deal also means that third-parties will not be able to sell Apple and Beats products on Amazon as only the resellers that are authorized by Apple will be able to list similar products.
It’s quite a departure from before when Apple products were either not available at all on Amazon or were only offered by third-parties in varying conditions and prices. Amazon used to sell only a few Apple products directly which included MacBooks.
“We look forward to expanding our assortment of Apple and Beats products globally,” said a spokesperson for Amazon.
