Animes are a dime a dozen and there are probably too many out there for you to possibly watch. However there are some which many can declare as a classic, and Cowboy Bebop is one of them. If you enjoyed the series, then how does a live-action remake of the anime sound to you?
Regardless of whether or not you relish the idea, Netflix has announced that they are working on a live-action Cowboy Bebop series. The first episode will be penned by Thor: Ragnarok’s writer Christopher Yost, and it will also see the creator of the original series Shinichiro Watanabe consult on the series.
No word on when it is expected to be launched, but we imagine that 2019 will probably be the earliest. Also there is no mention on how the live-action series will progress in terms of storyline, but it should stray too far from the original anime. No word on casting yet either so it seems that we’ll have to wait until a later date for those details.

Interestingly enough this won’t be the first live-action anime remake that we’ve seen launch on Netflix. Live-action movies for other popular Japanese anime such as Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist have also launched on Netflix in the past, so this doesn’t really come as a surprise.
